Authentic Learning through Technology and Pedagogy
Students crave a contextual, connected, collaborative, change-directed,
conversational, and continuous learning environment. They desire technology in
the classroom that is research-supported, teacher-developed, and
student-advocated. In other words, kids require authentic learning. This
presentation will focus upon how implementing a technology-integrated pedagogy
(utilizing team-wide blogging, classroom discussion podcasting, disposable
learning object screencasting, etc.) creates authentic learning, engagement, and
achievement for all students.
